X-Rays
X-Rays
Research and medicine uses many types of X-ray equipment, including analytical, medical, dental, fluoroscopic, veterinary, cabinet systems, and electron microscopes.
You must register all radiation-generating devices with EH&S, including X-ray machines.
EH&S reviews your registration following radiation authorization procedures.
Once approved, EH&S issues a permit with the authorized user (usually a faculty member), use restrictions, and approved machine operators.
Before using X-ray equipment, all operators except electron microscope users must register with EH&S and complete training.
